Bayside e-Club 1st. Terrific Kids Program Award Presentation 23rd April 2008 Peter & Carmen Aebersold attended an awards assembly at Caboolture State Primary School today. Member for the state seat of Glasshouse, Caroline Male, presented badges and certificates to House Captains and student representatives on the school council. School Principal Russell Knowles introduced Peter & Carmen and after speaking about the schools expectations of how the Terrific Kids program will benefit students and staff, invited Peter & Carmen to present the Terrific Kids award to year 4 student Killara. Killara is a dedicated sportswoman who aims for a career as a professional tennis player, and is the year 4 student representative on the school council. Peter spoke briefly about Kiwanis projects, the East Timor dairy and Heartkids, and the Kiwanis focus of serving the children of the world. Carmen presented Killara with a Terrific Kids Certificate, badge and bumper sticker, and a packet of championship tennis balls that were kindly donated by Struddys Sports at Morayfield and two books donated by the Kiwanis Bayside Internet Club. Killara, the Terrific Kid from term one, also has the prestige of hanging the large Terrific Kids banner in her classroom until the next Terrific Kid award is made at the beginning of term three. Peter & Carmen thoroughly enjoyed the assembly and congratulate all the students who received awards and especially congratulate Killara, a Terrific Kid. Personal thanks have been extended to Principal Knowles and teacher Dean Sanderson who have approved the Kiwanis Terrific Kids program for their school. A Certificate of Thanks will be presented to the Manager of Struddys Sports, Morayfield. Peter and Carmen Aebersold | |||
